Small Business Management— Agricultural Utilization Research Institute (AURI)

AURI conducts applied research aimed at developing value-added, commercial applications for agricultural commodities.  AURI provides technical assistance services and financial investment programs as well as helps companies which need to conduct pilot scale testing and research.

Services are intended for rural agricultural companies, agricultural organizations, entrepreneurs, rural development groups and public and private research facilities.  Projects must use Minnesota farm commodities or involve a process that increases the use of the state's farm products.

On-staff scientists are available to offer technical advice.

Provide free one-one-one business consulting and training programs at no cost or modest cost to existing and prospective businesses.

Services include assistance in management, financing, product/service, pricing, production, marketing and quality control.  More specialized services are available as well including resource libraries and computerized data bases.
